FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Fresh off breaking the all-time regular-season points record and winning the club's first Supporters Shield, the New England Revolution are gearing up for a chance to win their first-ever MLS Cup.

The Revolution won 22 of their 34 games and finished with a record-breaking 73 points this season and now hold the No. 1 seed throughout the upcoming MLS playoffs. But now they have their eyes set on the MLS Cup, a trophy that has eluded them fives times already in the club's history.

After getting a bye for the first round of playoff matchups, the Revolution will play in the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 30 against New York City FC, a team they're 2-1 against this season. The Revolution will be looking to follow up on last year's playoff run, where they lost to the eventual champion Columbus Crew SC in the conference finals

WBZ's Adam Kauffman (@AdamMKauffman) spoke with Revolution defenders Andrew Farrell and Brandon Bye ahead of this matchup. In these interviews, the Revolution players reflect on this historic season, talk about the team chemistry and Head Coach Bruce Arena, what it would mean to be a part of the Revolution's first title-winning team and more.
