LAWRENCE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – A restaurant-quality kitchen is designated to help entrepreneurs hoping to make it big in the culinary industry.

The brand new kitchen is in the basement Northern Essex Community College’s 420 Common Street Building in Lawrence.

The college said the kitchen is “a shared commercial kitchen and food business incubator that will accommodate a wide range of food businesses.”

Executive Director of the Lawrence Partnership George Ramirez said the kitchen has everything an aspiring cook would need to start a business.

He said the revolving test kitchen allows people to rent the space whenever they need.

“It’s $350 and they get ten hours a month to use the space and prepare their goods,” Ramirez said. “Again, it’s for small aspiring businesses while they grow their businesses in scale.”

The partnership plans on opening a space o the first floor of the building for people to order food to-go.
