BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo has signed an executive order banning flavored vaping products in the Ocean State.
Raimondo said flavored products are aimed at children, and blamed their makers for a public health crisis.
The ban follows one day after Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker ordered a four-month ban of all vapor products there, including nicotine, flavored, non-flavored, and marijuana vaping products.
The CDC confirms nine deaths nationwide attributed to vaping, and more than 500 cases of lung illnesses.
