Riding The Streets Of Boston With SCUL

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you happen to be out and about in the city late on a Saturday night, you may come across a gang of bike riders, called SCUL, who are hard to miss.

They build and ride unique chopper bikes they call 'spaceships' during 'missions' on city streets from spring through the fall.

While it all sounds rather intimidating, it's really a group of friends who just enjoy riding chopped-up, lit-up bikes at night when city streets are quiet.

SCUL was founded in Boston back in 1996 by group leader 'Fleet Admiral Skunk'. "I'm really proud this organization has been together for so long on a shoestring budget since 1996," he said.

WBZ's Matt Shearer (@MattWBZ) reports.
