Robert Kraft Reportedly Asked Rob Gronkowski To Come Back

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Will Rob Gronkowski return to the Patriots? A new post by NFL Insider Ian Rapoport indicates that team owner Robert Kraft asked the tight-end to come out of retirement in time for a playoff push.

"Kraft told Gronkowski that he wants him to return for November, December, and a playoff run," Rapaport writes. "If that happened, the team not only would welcome him back but would remain hopeful that it happens."

Gronkowski announced his retirement in March, and NFL rules stipulate that him and the team must agree to a return by November 30th to ensure a roster spot.
