MANSFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Roche Bros Supermarkets will no longer require shoppers to wear masks starting Saturday, as Massachusetts lifts its mandate.
The Mansfield-based supermarket chain told WBZ-TV that shoppers can leave their masks at home if they are fully vaccinated. Those who are still waiting on their COVID-19 shot are recommended to wear a mask in the meantime, according to a Roche Bros spokesperson.

Roche Bros joined grocery stores such as Stop & Shop, Wegman’s, Trader Joe’s, and Hannaford; all of which will not require face masks.
Although the mask mandate will drop for both indoor and outdoor settings on Saturday, there are several places where people will still need to wear a mask: public and private transportation (think the T, Commuter Rail, rideshares, and taxis), healthcare providers like hospitals, congregate care settings, and K-12 schools.
