Rockland Fire Displaces 20 From Homes

ROCKLAND, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — 20 people have been displaced from their homes after a 5-alarm fire tore through a multifamily house early Thursday morning.

Crews responded to the fire at 20 East Water St. just after midnight.

One woman was rescued from the blaze after being found unconscious on the third floor of the building. She was taken to South Shore Hospital and is reported to be in good condition.

A member of one of the firefighter teams was also treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
