FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – The Rolling Stones played at a private show at Gillette Stadium Monday night, hosted by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

The band used the night as a tour tune-up as their first post-pandemic show is scheduled for September 26.

“Every year Bob Kraft likes to invite his close friends and family and I’m sure some of the players,” said Kenny Young from WZLX.

This was the second time in five years the Stones have come to Foxborough but this was their first appearance since the passing of their drummer, Charlie Watts.

“They recruited a professional by the name of Steve Jordan to handle those responsibilities,” Young said. “I think he’s fitting in great.”
