BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Taking a break from the spring-like weather Massachusetts has been seeing, Thursday's snow proved to be too much for one rooftop in Boston's North End neighborhood— causing a partial collapse of a building under construction on Fleet Street.
According to the Boston Fire Department, the five story brick building was unoccupied at the time of the collapse, and no one was injured as a result. Out of precaution, the neighboring structures were evacuated while officials assessed the situation and scanned for the potential of further collapse.
Boston Fire officials used a drone to monitor the building from a bird's eye view.
