BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — More than a dozen people are without a home on Sunday morning after a fire tore through the basement of a triple-decker in Roslindale. Firefighters first responded to the home at 293 Belgrade Avenue at about 12:45 a.m.
The heavy fire was mostly contained to the basement and first floor of the home, and was knocked down by firefighters through a basement window within about half an hour. Boston Fire said 14 people and one dog were displaced.
Fire officials estimate there was about $250,000 in damage.
