DANVERS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Updated at 2:38 p.m.
A Danvers shooting suspect is in custody after a barricading himself in a trailer off Route 1, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Officials have shut down a part of Route 1 going southbound. They are asking the public to avoid the area.
Police reported to 98 Newbury St. in Danvers after getting reports of shots fired.
A male suspect barricaded himself inside a mobile home at the trailer park. A female shooting victim was transported to a hospital, police said.
Police are investigating.
