BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Marathon is one day away and runners are getting ready.

Boylston Street and the Hynes Convention Center were jammed with runners Sunday — both runners who have done the Boston Marathon before, and runners who have not.

One runner, Courtney Hughes, is from Texas. This is the first time she is running the Boston Marathon as a mother.

“She actually ran the marathon with me last year,” Hughes said. “We didn’t know it. We didn’t know she was there with us, but she was there.”

Hughes said the key to running a marathon after just having a baby is “you wake up and grind. You just get the training done and don’t think about it.”
