BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Some passengers flying out of Logan Airport Tuesday said they are not too worried about wind gusts even though hundreds of flights were delayed and cancelled over the holiday weekend.
“It’s very windy, but I think we’ll be fine,” a Minneapolis bound passenger told WBZ NewsRadio. “We’re used to that. It was fun watching the southerners play in the snow.”
A Florida bound flyer also don’t think the wind will cause major troubles. “I think we’ll have a smooth trip,” he said.
One anxious flyer said the wind does make them nervous heading into the sky, “but hopefully they’ll know if it’s too bad that we won’t take off.”
Most passengers said they would rather take the delay to be safe than sorry.
“[I] rather have a setback for sure for safety but I think it’s all going to be fine,” another flyer said. “I haven’t [thought] twice about it.”
A wind advisory in effect until 5 p.m. Tuesday.
