SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio)—Halloween Season in Salem has officially kicked off and it's not just tourists that flock to the Witch City for the month of October, performers do as well.

The Salem Haunted Magic Show is celebrating ten years of shows during the month of October. The show is an "interactive, theatrical magic and mind reading performance with a focus on bizarre real-life happenings," according to their website.

The star of the show is Christopher Grace, a nationally known mentalist. He said he's been gearing up for the big month.

"A mentalist is essentially a magician of the mind, so I do in your head magic," said Grace. He reads minds and Grace will be doing that in a room filled with 99 people, all wearing masks.

In addition, he will be performing at an appropriate social distance. He says the distance won't affect his mind reading as long as the person is in the building.

Grace added he's just glad people are back in the building because last year her performed on Zoom during October.

The City of Salem does require a negative Covid test for big gatherings during the month of October. Tickets for the shows can be purchased on the Salem Magic Shows website.
