SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Essex’s N.Y. Pizza & Deli in Salem will celebrate Leap Day this year with $1 slices.
Slices will cost a dollar all day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday Feb. 29.
Shift manager Michael Colby said the restaurant has had to raise its prices over the years, primarily because of COVID, and they want to say thank you to all their faithful customers.
One regular customer told WBZ NewsRadio that Essex's N.Y. Pizza has "excellent food." "I've been coming here for years and always enjoyed it here," they said.
Another customer said the $1 promotion is "great because their food is really, really, really good here."
