SHEFFIELD (WBZ NewsRadio) — Samya Stumo, a 24-year-old world traveler who grew up in Sheffield, Massachusetts, was killed in Sunday's Ethiopian plane crash.

The Boston Globe reports Stumo was flying from Ethiopia to Kenya when Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crashed just minutes after takeoff, killing all on board.

The 2015 UMass Amherst graduate was one of eight Americans killed in the crash.

In all, 157 people were killed in the crash—and there are calls nationwide to ground all Boeing 737 Max aircraft. The US and Canada have not followed the lead of many nations, and have yet to do that.
