Saugus Cancels Youth Football Games After Morning Fight

SAUGUS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A youth football game was canceled Sunday after a fight broke out in the stands.

Saugus police said they received a call at 9:48 a.m. reporting a fight between five to six people.

Witnesses told police the brawl erupted between a parent from Saugus and a parent from Salem.

One woman was treated for injuries at the Saugus Stadium, but she was not taken to the hospital.

The people involved in the fight quickly dispersed when officers arrived on the scene, police said.

Nobody was arrested.

The game was canceled, as were all of the other games in Saugus for the rest of the day.
