SAUGUS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An investigation is underway in Saugus, Mass. after a bar fight on Wednesday night.

Saugus Police responded to a fight in progress at the Kowloon Restaurant around 10:30 P.M. Six police officers at the restaurant working detail de-escalated the situation and the bar closed early for the night.

Authorities said that several young men involved in the fight were questioned and detained, but no arrests were made. The investigation is ongoing and felony charges could follow, as one individual used a glass bottle in the fight.

“The Kowloon is a family-friendly restaurant, unfortunately a few unruly patrons ruined a nice evening for many others. A disturbance such as this on Thanksgiving Eve is unacceptable and disgusting,” said Chief Michael Ricciardelli.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saugus Police Department.
