BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a school bus in Mattapan on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at around 7:00 AM, at 710 Walk Hill Street in Mattapan. Boston Police said a pedestrian was struck while walking near that address. The victim was rushed to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The school bus did not belong to the Boston Public School district. Police said that they had found the bus involved in the accident and the driver, but that the driver was not under arrest as of late Tuesday morning.
Detectives from the Boston Police homicide unit is investigating.
