BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — President Trump's invitation to members of Michigan's state legislature to come meet with him in Washington this week drew some harsh reaction from Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin.
"It's not just that it's inappropriate, which it totally is. I think it's illegal," Galvin told WBZ NewsRadio. "I mean, in some respects I think it should be investigated as an obstruction of justice."
In Michigan, where voters went for Joe Biden 50.6 percent to President Trump's 47.8 percent, the statewide elections board is expected to certify its overall election results by Monday.
Despite President-elect Biden winning Wayne County by 38 points, Secretary Galvin said there are other signs of alleged election meddling from the Trump campaign.
"There was an effort to have the Republicans in Wayne County reverse their position certifying the result," Galvin said. "And the Secretary of State of Arizona has put out a statement about how she feels intimidated by the activities going on there. This has to stop."
