BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Don't put away your shovels just yet: we may be getting another winter storm this coming weekend.

The National Weather Service posted a weather update on social media early Monday morning saying the chances of a winter storm between 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30 and 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2 have increased.

"Chances have increased for impactful snow and/or wind along the immediate East Coast, but uncertainty remains rather high with respect to details," the post said.

CBS News Boston Meteorologist Eric Fisher also posted about this potential storm on social media.

"For the weekend storm - a much higher ceiling. Guidance has been locking in on intense low pressure nearby, meaning more wind and wave potential . Astronomical tides are also higher next weekend. So we def need to keep a close eye on this one next couple days," Fisher wrote.
