BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Sen. Elizabeth Warren announced Wednesday that she is endorsing Joe Biden for President of the United States.
"In a moment of crisis, it's more important than ever the next president restores Americans' faith in good, effective government — and I've see Joe Biden help our nation rebuild," Sen. Warren wrote in a tweet.
"I've seen the vice president help a community heal," Warren said. "One year to the day, after the Boston Marathon bombings that tore up bodies and tore our sense of safety and community, he was here. People who'd been hurt, people who were afraid, he gave them peace and he gave them grace. I watched it up close."
Warren said that throughout the Democratic Primary, there hasn't been a candidate she's agreed with 100 percent of the time, but one thing she appreciates "about Joe Biden is he will always tell you where he stands."
"When you disagree, he'll listen — and not just listen, but really hear you and treat you with respect, no matter where you're coming from," Warren said.
