Sen. Warren Says She Would Be Joe Biden's Running Mate

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Hours after she endorsed Joe Biden for President of the United States, Sen. Elizabeth Warren said she would say yes to being his running mate.

While speaking on The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, Warren said that her conversations with Biden "long, long predate" this presidential race and the 2016 race.

"We've had a lot of conversations about how we build an America going forward with lots of different pieces and parts to that," Warren said. "We both want the same thing. We want this country to work and we want it to work for everyone."

Warren said that the country has "seen the importance of having a leader that we can count on in a crisis. It's not Donald Trump, it is Joe Biden."

Maddow then went on to ask Warren if she would be Biden's running mate if he asked.

"Yes," Warren said in response.
