BARNSTABLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two people were hurt, one with life-threatening injuries, after a serious car crash in Marstons Mills, Barnstable Saturday night.
Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Captain Brian Morrisson said that emergency crews responded to Lovell's Lane to find one car on its side in the middle of the road. The rolled-over vehicle was the only one involved in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle was pinned underneath the car, and according to Morrisson, an off-duty Barnstable Police Officer and a group of passersby hoisted the car and were able to free the driver. Both occupants were transported to Cape Cod Hospital, with one being moved to a Boston hospital later.
There was no statement on the conditions of those injured in the crash, nor has their identities been released.
Barnstable Police and the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
