WEYMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A motorboat and a sailboat collided in Hingham Bay Friday, authorities said.
According to Hingham Firefighters Local 2398, the boats collided in the vicinity of Grape Island.
Fire officials reported "serious injuries and a sinking vessel."
Photos from the scene show the sailboat partially submerged in the water with emergency crews nearby.
It is unclear how many people were injured, how many were onboard the boats, or what caused the collision.
Massachusetts Environmental Police are investigating.
