BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Congressman Seth Moulton weighed in Tuesday on the whistleblower report, Democrats' impeachment inquiry, and the scandals facing President Trump.
"I don't think we've ever had a more treasonous Commander-in-Chief than someone who goes out and influences foreign governments to try and get involved in his own re-election, to undermine our democracy," Moulton told WBZ NewsRadio's Karyn Regal.
Moulton, who served in the Marine Corps, was troubled by comments made by a Trump supporter—and featured in a tweet by Trump himself over the weekend—that some believe seemed to suggest an impeachment inquiry might lead to civil war.
"The fact that now he's trying to incite civil war, apparently, it doesn't frankly surprise me," Moulton said. "It's all the more reason why Democrats and Republicans, Americans need to come together and say, look, politics aside, we need to uphold the law and protect our constitution. We need to have this inquiry."
