Six Massachusetts schools made it into the Top 50 on the list, including Harvard University, Williams College, Amherst College, Wellesley College, and Boston University.
MIT is known for its innovations in science and technology, with a strong focus on both.
According to the Forbes website, MIT's average grant aid is $58,331, and average debt is $12,071, with the average alumni salary totaling $196,900.
Harvard was the second-highest ranking Massachusetts school at number six on the list.
