BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority recently announced several service changes in May on the Green, Red, Blue, and Mattapan branches for signal work, Green Line Train Protection System installation, and essential infrastructure revitalization, among other improvements.
Crews will be installing equipment designed to prevent trolley crashes on the Green Line. On the C branch, service will be suspended from Cleveland Circle all the way through Park Street from May 6 - 17.
At the end of the month, the E branch will be suspended from Government Center through Heath Street for a week from May 30 - June 5. The 39 bus will serve that stretch.

On the Red Line, the Braintree branch will have service suspended between Broadway and Quincy Center from May 2 - 4, then again at the end of the month from May 29 - 31.
On the Blue Line, service will be suspended between Bowdoin and Airport on the weekend of May 9. Shuttles will only stop at Maverick, Airport, and Haymarket.
Service between Ashmont and Broadway, along with the Mattapan Line, will be suspended from the evening of May 14 - 18.
