BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The National Weather Service announced Severe Thunderstorm Warnings in effect across parts of southern Massachusetts Saturday afternoon, including in Randolph and Norwood.
NWS Boston advised residents in Northern Worcester County and Western Middlesex County to prepare for thunderstorms at around 2:45 p.m.
"We are tracking a strong #thunderstorm capable of producing 40mph winds and pea-sized hail," said NWS Boston. "Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!"
Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were also issued for Brockton, Abington, and Holbrook until at least 4:45 p.m., with winds predicted up to 60 mph and quarter-size hail possible.
