Malden Man Arrested In South End Sex Assault

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Malden man has been arrested in connection to a broad-daylight sexual assault that happened over the weekend, Boston Police said.

Anthony Smith-Pacheco, 24, was arrested in Malden on Monday. He's charged with assault and battery, indecent assault and battery, and assault with intent to rape.

Police said the sexual assault happened around 2 p.m. Sunday at a business on Harrison Avenue.

Smith-Pacheco will face arraignment in Boston Municipal Court after he's transported back to the city from Malden.
