Sharon High School Student Starts Outdoor Thrift Shop

SHARON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Colorful and affordable thrift stores are the new hot spot for teenagers and young adults.

High school student Lena Katz wants to encourage her peers to shop sustainably, by opening a outdoor thrift shop at Sharon High School.

The idea to start this business stemmed from her honors humanities project.

Katz said that thrifting clothes not only benefits the buyer, but also the environment since so many clothes end up in landfill.
