BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — One day after a fires suspended service on part of the MBTA Orange Line, a construction project shutdown parts of the Green Line.
Service on the Green Line B branch will is being replaced by shuttle buses between Washington Street and Blandford Street, according to the MBTA.
Shuttle buses are also replacing service between Reservoir and Riverside on the Green Line D branch.
This year, the MBTA is “replacing sections of track where the rail crosses the road and pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers pass over the tracks,” according to their website.
According to the MBTA, the D branch is being worked on as part of two “major infrastructure projects.”
