HULL, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A sprouting business for one Massachusetts man is getting up and standing on its own two legs— or however many legs you consider an Adirondack chair to have.

Cory Caranci of Giant Adirondack Chairs has been making behemoth-sized seating arrangements for plenty of local eateries and institutions around New England, including Lobster Trap in Bourne, Seafood Sams in Falmouth, and Bridgewater State University.

He told WBZ's Jim MacKay that people always take photos of his work, which to him, comes as free advertising.

"A lot of the chairs I've gotten are just through word of mouth. So I built one chair and then I got an order for three of them for Bridgewater State. I'm doing what I like to do, I like building them— it's fun, rewarding, and in the end you're seeing people's faces," Caranci said.

"I tell people for business, they're like the new business sign if you have a big chair outside with the logo on it. Definitely there's a following for them and people love them," Caranci said.

WBZ's Jim MacKay (@JimMacKayOnAir) reports.
