PORTLAND, Maine (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two people were taken to the hospital on Friday after a small private plane crashed at Portland International Jetport.
Airport officials say the crash happened at about 3:40 PM. The two people taken to the hospital were the only two people on the plane, but there's been no word on their conditions.
At least five flights were diverted to Boston Logan and other New England airports.
The crash happened off of the airport's main runways, and officials said they looked to resume flights Friday evening.
