Small Plane Crashes Into Roof Of Connecticut Home

GROTON, Conn. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A small plane crashed into the roof of a home in Connecticut Monday night.

The crash happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Ring Drive at Donna Drive.

Police said, as of right now, there are not any fatalities or life threatening injuries among the people in the plane and those on the ground.

Two people were inside the plane at the time of the crash. They were able to get themselves out before being taken to the hospital.

Authorities said the home did not catch on fire, but the surrounding homes "were evacuated as a precautionary measure while fire crews and EMS attended to the scene."

The crash is currently under investigation.
