BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio)— Pedestrians on Devonshire Street in Downtown Boston Tuesday were greeted with an unfamiliar sight for a sunny September day—snow on the ground.
It was no meteorological miracle though, it's the set of the new Apple TV+ movie "Spirited" starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell. The film is a modern movie-musical adaption of the classic Charles Dickens novel "A Christmas Carol", according to IMDB. The movie began filming earlier in July.
Filming in Boston saw the Financial District transform into a snowy downtown New York City. However, the snow on Devonshire Street was made out of a cotton-like material covered in a white dust.
This is the second film Reynolds has done in Boston in recent years, after shooting his film "Free Guy" in both Boston and Worcester.
WBZ's Matt Shearer (@MattWBZ) spoke with pedestrians near the set.
