BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — What's being called the world's first social wellness club has opened in Boston's Seaport District.
Dr. Jonathan Leary, founder and CEO of Remedy Place, has a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine.
He said Remedy Place provides its clients with natural ways of treating chronic pain and avoiding surgeries all while enhancing their social lives. "Remedy Place is the world's first social wellness club... centered around self-care, but made social," Dr. Leary said.
He added that the Seaport location is a mix of luxury and technology.
It features red light rooms, saunas made with German walnut wood, IV treatments, and what Dr. Leary called the first foam bathing suite in the U.S. "What we do is fill up the steam experience with foam up to your neck," he said.
There's also an AI massage and classes that feature ice baths. "We're the first place in the world to turn ice baths onto a class format," Dr. Leary said.
After more than 10 years of experience in sports medicine and researching non-surgical treatments, Dr. Leary said he's implementing best practices and technologies he's learned throughout his career at Remedy Place.
Remedy Place also features a hyperbaric chamber where patients breathe 100% oxygen to promote healing and treat various conditions.
Dr. Leary said the treatments available at Remedy Place, such as the ice bath classes, merge healing while enhancing social lives. "It's incredible, you feel like an absolute super-human," he said.
The opening of Remedy Place in Boston joins existing locations in Los Angeles and New York.
