BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Trucks filled with boxes and furniture lined up the streets in Allston Saturday as several lucky residents get ahead of the frenzies of Sept. 1 move-in.
“It feels incredible,” one resident told WBZ NewsRadio. “I mean it’s just chaos here for that month. It’s where everyone is moving at the same time.”
The collective sigh of relief avoiding next month’s chaos was felt among other August movers.
“I hear how it was so that was part of trying to avoid it just to make it as seamless as possible,” an early mover said. “But obviously there’s still hurdles and hoops to jump through here no matter what.”

Another early mover said it was a “dream come true” securing an August move-in.
This also means they get to start their wish list for Allston Christmas, a free-for-all for free stuff left out on the curb.
One Bostonian said, “I did find some plates and bowls, like handmade, that I’ve been really enjoying.”
