REVERE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Several women from the Jack Satter House in Revere, Mass. took part in a fundraiser that caught the attention of a national TV show.
Residents of the senior independent living facility participated in a partially nude calendar photoshoot to raise money for their tenant association.
Rabbi Lior Nevo told WBZ NewsRadio that she proposed the idea last year.
“I thought it would be hard to get people to be part of it, but when I suggested it, all the hands just flew up in the air and everyone was very excited,” she said.
The group of women posed in scenes that were a part of their daily activities, such as sitting at a bingo table, poker games, and trips to the beach.
The calendar, called “Spectacular Senior 2025,” caught the attention from the producers of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Earlier this week, the models took a party bus to New York City for the interview.
“It was amazing,” Roxanne Aiello, one of the spectacular seniors, said. “Something I’ll never ever forget. I mean it made us feel like we were the stars.”
The living facility had a watch party of the featured episode Thursday afternoon.
“It was an experience at my age, 90, I’ll never forget,” Loretta Paquette said.
