SOMERVILLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Somerville Bike Kitchen hosted its annual Bike Pageant this weekend.

The Bike Kitchen describes the event as 'a celebration of unique, fun, creative, colorful and/or otherwise one-of-a-kind bikes.'

Attendees voted for their favorite bikes in a number of different categories ranging from 'Small Wheels Club' to 'Vintage' to the 'Delightfully Weird'.

One of the most talked about designs among people at the event was the 'FishBike,' a metallic monstrosity with fish-eyes and a fish-smile that looked more like it belonged cruising on the high seas rather than on a street. "It's almost a rocket ship but it does in fact have two wheels," said one admirer.

The general feeling was 'FishBike' was the favorite to win the 'Delightfully Weird' category.

Somerville Bike Kitchen is a volunteer-run nonprofit bicycle repair shop.
