SOMERVILLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Somerville has been named one of the best places to live for families in the United States.
Somerville came in at number 11 in a ranking by Fortune. The magazine noted the city is close to Boston while also have its own unique atmosphere.
WBZ NewsRadio spoke to residents about the recent ranking and what they enjoy most about what Somerville has to offer.
“This is a really nice mix where I feel like my son is getting a kind of very residential homey feel where the neighbors know each other and the kids play outside, but then we can [also] walk to restaurants,” said resident Farnaz Bakhshi.
“It feels like a neighborhood, like very dense but has a lot of amenities so yeah! I like it a lot,” added resident Sydney Burt.
“I really like the community of Somerville it’s kind of just like very family oriented, plus its very walkable which I think is helpful for any good neighborhood,” added another resident.
