WALPOLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — It didn't help the mood of Red Sox fans that the Sox lost to the Seattle Mariners after the trade deadline had passed Tuesday.
The Sox have now lost 7 of their last 10 games since the All-Star break.
Boston did add four pitchers to the team: James Paxton, Quinn Priester, Lucas Sims, and Luis García.
But when WBZ NewsRadio's Chris Fama stopped Red Sox fans outside a Dunkin' in Walpole Wednesday morning asking what they thought of the latest Red Sox roster moves, underwhelmed was the word of the day. "I didn't think much of them," said one fan asked about the moves, adding that he never heard of any of the four pitchers added to the team.
The Red Sox also added a right-handed batter off the bench, catcher Danny Jansen.
But Sox fans, like this guy, were not impressed. "Maybe they make the playoffs, but they ain't winning the World Series."
The only person who said he liked the moves was an admitted Yankees fan who probably was being sarcastic.
