FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Special event train tickets for the upcoming Metallica concerts go on sale on Friday.
The MBTA Commuter Rail and Keolis are partnering to offer special event trains to and from Gillette Stadium for the Metallica concerts on Aug. 2 and Aug 4. Train tickets for both dates officially go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 19.
There will be special event trains from Providence and Boston on Aug. 4, but only service from Boston on Aug. 2. Round trip tickets cost $20 and are only available through the mTicket app.
The Boston special event trains will depart from South Station and have additional stops at Back Bay and Dedham Corporate Center. The Providence train will depart from Providence Station and make stops at Pawtucket/Central Falls, Attleboro and Mansfield.
The trains will depart from the Foxboro Station approximately 30 minutes after the concert ends.
