BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Cosplayers preparing for this weekend's Fan Expo Boston made a pit stop at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children on Wednesday.

Dressed as fan-favorite comic book characters, they met up with costume-clad pediatric patients for arts and crafts projects.

"Fighting crime [is] fun, but there's nothing like just making kids happy," Jack Low, dressed as Spider-Man, said.

Cosplayers posing as Batman, Batgirl, Captain Marvel and Harley Quinn also made appearances ahead of this weekend's convention.

The annual Fan Expo Boston brings everything pop culture — movies, video games and anime galore — to cities across the country. The show was known as Boston Comic Con until 2018.

Fan Expo Boston will run from June 14 to June 16 at the Hynes Convention Center.
