BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — While St. Patrick’s Day may fall on Sunday, for one diner near South Station, the festivities are already well underway! Here, the walls, ceilings, tables and staff are all sporting the iconic green and gold colors which shares the spirit of the holiday and gets everybody ready for the big day!

“I love it man, these guys came out with the green concept... everything is so green I got my bibs; it seems so promising that the Irish and everybody else who enjoy the tradition are going to have a good time, “said Thomas, a local resident.

Popular St. Patrick’s Day themed staples at the diner include classics such as the traditional Irish breakfast, which comes with cabbage, potatoes, corn beefed hash and for dessert if you wish, a green shamrock shake too!

The main event is on Sunday with the big parade going down in Boston’s Southie neighborhood, and it is expected that police officers, firefighters and first responders from all over New England will converge on the diner Sunday morning to share stories from parades past and trade patches before heading off to join in the festivities.
