BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — May the fourth be with you. Saturday, May 4, is Star Wars Day and Boston is celebrating.
Here are five events happening around the city that will celebrate a galaxy far, far away.
1. Boston Children’s Museum’s Star Wars Weekend
- All weekend long, visitors at the Boston Children’s Museum can participate in Star Wars related activities while dressed as their favorite character.
2. Legoland Star Wars Days
- The Legoland Discovery Center is hosting Star Wars themed activities to celebrate May 4, including Star Wars themed buildings.
3. Dorchester Brewing Company’s May the Fourth Be With You
- The Dorchester Brewing Company will be celebrating May 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. with a food truck that will serve tacos. Star Wars themed music will also be played.
4. Star Wars/Kentucky Derby Party at Village Tavern in Salem, Mass.
- A joint Star Wars/Kentucky Derby party will be held at the Village Tavern in Salem, Mass from 5 to 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in Star Wars costumes or in a Derby hat.
5. Boston Pops Present “Star Wars: A New Hope”
- The Boston Pops, conducted by Keith Lockhart, will be playing live accompaniment to the fourth episode of the Star Wars series. The live performances begin May 10 at 8 p.m.
