State Police Investigating Shooting In South Boston On Friday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 19-year-old Boston man is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in South Boston on Friday night.

Massachusetts State Police said the shooting happened on William Day Boulevard at around 10:40 p.m., when a group of teenagers in several cars entered the Pleasure Island parking lot and began firing shots in the victim's direction.

The man was hit in his lower body, and was taken to a local hospital for his injuries, where he remains.

The department is currently investigating, and no other details are being released at this time.
