State Trooper's Vehicle Hit While Helping Motorist

SHARON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Massachusetts State Police cruiser was struck by a passing vehicle in Sharon on Wednesday afternoon, putting two people in the hospital.

According to a spokesperson, the crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. The trooper was attempting to help a driver on the median on the northbound side of Route 95, just north of the Coney Street exit in Sharon, when another vehicle hit the MSP cruiser and rolled over.

The crash caused the closure of two lanes on Route 95 northbound. Both the the trooper and the other operator were transported to a local hospital.
