Steamship Authority Target Of Ransomware Attack; Ferry Delays Expected

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority has announced it was a target of a ransomware attack on Wednesday morning.

The attack is affecting operations and customers planning to travel on ferries Wednesday may experience delays.

The Steamship Authority said a "team of IT professionals is currently assessing the impact of the attack."

More information will be released once an initial assessment is completed.
