QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Stop & Shop announced that fully vaccinated shoppers will not be required to wear a face mask inside stores starting on May 29.
The Quincy-based supermarket chain stated that, “Stop & Shop will no longer require those who are fully vaccinated to wear masks in our stores – although we will continue to strongly encourage everyone to do so."
Their policy is already underway in states such as Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York. Massachusetts will keep its indoor mask mandate in place until May 29, despite the CDC's update.
